Why SparePlate?

SparePlate was created to reduce food waste at office events. Too often, perfectly good catering and leftovers end up in the bin simply because nobody nearby knew they were there.

We strongly believe good food should never go to waste — it should find a colleague instead.

How it works

1. Join your building's board — find it nearby, or enter a colleague's invite code.
2. Got leftovers? Post what's up for grabs and where, so everyone on the board sees it.
3. Heading over? Tap “Still There” or “Gone” so others know if it's worth the walk.
4. Posts disappear after a couple of hours, so the board always shows what's fresh.
